Happy new year to all!
The head instructor at our karate club, Sensei Roy Flatt, is in Okinawa at present (training along side the English chief instructor Sensei Ernie Molyneux) at the dojo of our style's grandmaster Morio Higaonna Shihan. They are there for just over a week for training. In the meantime we have been continuing with classes as normal here in Liverpool.
Last night's session was instructed by Sensei Steve Walley (5th dan) and Sensei Guy Keen (5th dan also). They class included lots of kihon (basics) and then some exercises to help students concentrate on gripping - very important for karate training.
